Alice Virginia Williams

Alice Virginia Williams, 77, of New Martinsville, WV passed away August 13, 2011 at home surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer. She was born May 25, 1934 in Newport, OH a daughter of the late Charles Robert “Bob” and Katherine Virginia Hayes. She was a 1952 graduate of Sistersville High School. She is survived by one daughter, Lisa Dawn (Doug) Nippert of Clarington, OH, granddaughter, Allison Katherine “Alli” Childers of Clarington, OH, grandson, Brian Robert Salisbury of Strongsville, OH, brothers, Jack (Mary) Hayes of Paden City, WV, Jerry (Darlene) Hayes of Friendly, WV, sisters, Grace McGee of Sistersville, WV, Ada Hayes of Friendly, WV, Sally Davis of St. Marys, WV, Katy Springer of New Martinsville, WV, Kathy Bettem of Moundsville, WV and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Carol Sue Salisbury, one sister, Mary Jo Zipf, and one brother, Theodore “Ted” Hayes. Services will be held Tuesday, August 16 at 1 P.M. at Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, WV with Rev. Gene Adkins officiating. Interment will be in Friendly Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 11 A.M. until the time of the service.
