Anthony "Tony" Bailey,

Anthony D. “Tony” Bailey, Sr., 55, of Sistersville, WV passed away June 29, 2013 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born October 1, 1957 in Sistersville, WV a son of the late Paul Alfred and Barbara Ann Northcraft Bailey. Tony was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a 1975 graduate of Sistersville High School where he played on the football team. He was an avid WVU Mountaineers and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He served for 13 years in the US Army Reserves and he worked for 25 years for Ingram Barge Company where he served as Senior Mate. Tony’s passion was riding motorcycles. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Flesher Bailey, children, Kate Shingleton of St. Marys, WV, Anthony (Cindy) Bailey, II of Ripley, WV, Scott (Jenna) Bailey of Vienna, WV, Ashley Bailey (Significant other, Chad Eddleblute) of Belpre, OH, ten grandchildren, Lindsey Shingleton, Savannah Skorupinski, Ashton Skorupinski, Aiden Bailey, Conner Bailey, Liam Bailey, Alana Bailey, Isaiah Bailey, Aubrey Bailey, Monica Bailey, sisters, Ann Weghorst of Troy, MI, and Mamie Blatt of Sistersville. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 1 PM at Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, WV with Rev. Don Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Friendly Cemetery, Friendly, WV with military graveside rites. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Tony requested that everyone that attends dress casually in “jeans, t-shirt and leathers if you got 'em.”
