Ardele "Ardie" J. Post, 80, of Middlebourne, WV, passed away February 26, 2018 at home. Ardie came to Tyler County in 1981 to get the farm started. She loved it there. She loved the land, the live stock and the people she met. She had a great sense of humor and prided herself on not wanting to get "old in the head." For a couple of years after coming here, she taught computer courses at WVNCC in New Martinsville, WV. Her husband, George E. Post, came here in 1983 and then Ardie returned to her former employment as a Computer Consultant specializing in manufacturing and nuclear energy applications. She traveled widely to perform this work. After her retirement in 2000, she trained as a tutor for the Tyler County Laubach Literacy Council and within 2 years became the coordinator of this program which she worked at until her health no longer permitted. She also became a member of the Board of Directors for the Tyler County Family Resource Network where she served various positions. Ardie was a member of the Little United Methodist Church and also belonged to the Little Methodist sewing group. She was a member of the American Motorcycle Association, a member of The Pink Panthers and a member of the Paden City American Legion Auxiliary Unit. She is survived by her husband, George E. Post of Middlebourne, WV; son, grandchildren, sister, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 1:00 pm until time of service at 4:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Reverend Don Thomas officiating.
