Arthur Thomas

Arthur John Thomas, 80, of Sistersville, WV, went to be with his Lord and Savior and with the angels in heaven on June 4, 2014 at Sistersville General Hospital. He was born June 18, 1933, a son of the late Frank William Thomas and Lorena Masters Thomas. Arthur graduated from Sistersville High School in 1953. He was an Army veteran. He and his Dad operated the Sunoco Station in Friendly for 10 years. He worked for 29 years and retired from Ace Hardware in Sistersville. He enjoyed gardening and working in the yard. Arthur will be dearly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his daughters, Diane Michelle Thomas and Jennifer Kay Thomas of Sistersville and sister, Carolyn Coleman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lenora Susan Thomas; daughter, Tamara Marie Thomas; sister, Nina Thomas and brothers, Billy Thomas and Everett Thomas. Services will be Saturday at 1:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Reverend Don Thomas officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 pm at Myers Funeral Home. Interment will be at Archer’s Chapel.
