Barbara S. Simmons

Barbara Sue Stewart Simmons, 65, of Sistersville, W.Va., died March 31, 2009, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. She was born July 1, 1943, in Sistersville, a daughter of the late Virgil Franklin and Georgia E. Jacobs Stewart. She was the owner of Family Pizza for 27 years and attended the Celebration Center of St. Marys. She is survived by a daughter, Brenda M. Norris, of St. Marys, W.Va.; grandchildren, Luke Campbell of Sistersville, Lincoln Campbell of Proctor, Ted Miller, Mason Miller, Jessica Norris, Joseph Norris and Anthony Norris, all of St. Marys; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Ralph Stewart of Cincinnati, Ohio, Calvin Stewart of Sistersville, Virgil Stewart of New Martinsville, Jerry Stewart of Sistersville, Gary Stewart of Sistersville and Harley Stewart of Middlebourne; and a sister, Pam Powell of Sardis, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Edwin Simmons; infant brother, Rodney Stewart; brother, Randy Stewart; and a sister, Eva Stackpole. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2009 at the Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, with Pastor Gary Saler officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
