Bill R. Martin

Bill R. Martin, 75, of Sistersville, WV, passed away November 24, 2016. He was born July 2, 1941 in Red Bay, AL, a son of the late, Willard Martin and Amy Credille Martin. Bill was retired from Ormet Corporation. He loved to hunt and fish. He attended the First Baptist Church of New Martinsville. He previously taught Sunday School, was a Trustee and was a Youth Leader at First Baptist Church of Sistersville and he was a Trustee at Freedom Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Martha Mayfield Martin of Sistersville, WV; daughter, Rhonda (Rick) Logan of Sistersville, WV and four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Surface and sister, Betty Furbee. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 pm at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Thursday from 10:30 am until time of service at 11:30 am with Pastor Don Biram officiating. Interment will be at Paden Memorial Gardens.
