Blaine Elliott Smith

Blaine Elliott Smith, 69, of Sistersville, WV, passed away on December 26, 2016 at the Clarksburg VA Medical Center. He was born October 15, 1947, in Sistersville, WV, a son of the late Oren Smith and Helen Hunt Smith. Blaine was a retired foreman at Bayer Corporation. He was a proud United States Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He was a lifelong member of the VFW, the NRA and the American Legion. He also loved farming. He is survived by his daughters, Sabrina (Chad) Buchanan of Sistersville, WV, Brandi (Rick) Walton of Glen Dale, WV and Jillian Smith of New Martinsville, WV; stepson, Tony (Amanda) Kemp of Sistersville, WV; twin brother, Wayne (Debby) Smith of Canton, OH; grandchildren, Sydney Reed and Jace Reed, Jaxon Buchanan, Brylee and Zander Henderson and Breagan Walton; step-grandchildren, Abby and Avery Kemp; sisters-in-law, Donna Smith and Martha Smith Tipton and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Lee Smith, brothers, Thomas Smith, Guy Smith, Harry Smith, Earl Smith, Burl Smith, Paul Smith, Virgil Smith and sisters, Virginia (Eugene) VanCamp and Madge (Layman) Kirkpatrick. Services will be Thursday from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am at Myers Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Mayfield officiating.
