Brian Keith Reed, 41, of Sistersville, WV, passed away July 26, 2010. He was born August 14, 1968, son of Dennis Reed and Conley and Patsy Wyatt. He was a general contractor by trade, a retired member of the US Army 19th SFG(A), he was a wounded warrior, Commander of the 4th District WV American Legion, past West Virginia American Legion Vice Commander of the 4th District, Commander of the American Legion Post #67 of Sistersville, finance officer of the American Legion Riders Post #67 and Sons of the American Legion Post #67, Americanism Chairman for American Legion Post #67, Voiture 170th 4018 member, member of the VFW #6327, member of the Paden City Eagles Aerie #2281 and a member of the American Legion/VFW Honor Guard of Tyler and Wetzel Counties, Veteran of Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, he was employed by American International Security Force and he was also a member of the Friendly United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents he is survived by son, Bryant Levi Reed of Sistersville, daughter, Lakyn Brittany Reed of New Martinsville; grandson, Cameron Christopher Leek of New Martinsville; brothers, Douglas (Yong Ju) Reed of Camp Humphrey’s, South Korea, Christopher Conley Wyatt of Pittsburgh, PA; sister, Tricia (Travis) Wharton of Bruceton Mills, WV; nephews, Daniel Reed of Camp Humphrey’s, South Korea, Caleb Wharton of Bruceton Mills, WV and girlfriend, Nila Heintzman and her son, Nathan Heintzman. Services will be Friday at 11:00 am at the Sistersville Baptist Church with Lay Pastor Bill Forbes officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8 at Myers Funeral Home. Interment will be at Friendly Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Sistersville American Legion Post #67, PO Box 105, Sistersville, WV 26175.
