Burl Allen Smith

Burl Allen Smith, 56, of Sistersville, WV, passed away February 10, 2022 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born April 16, 1965, in New Martinsville, WV, a son of Donna Smith and the late Earl Smith. Burl enjoyed farming, timbering, wood working, riding four-wheeler's, fishing, dirt track racing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sons, Joseph Smith of Sistersville, WV and Matthew (Kayla) Smith of Flatwoods, WV; a daughter, Bethany (Cody) Brightwell of Middlebourne, WV; eight grandchildren; and two step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father; and sister, Lisa Beaver. Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday February 12, 2022 at Myers Funeral Home with Pastor Sharon McDougal officiating. Burial will follow in Archer's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
