Charles F. "Chode" Slie

Charles F. “Chode” Slie, 61, of New Martinsville, WV, passed away June 2, 2010 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born January 2, 1949, a son of the late Herbert Slie and Betty R. Noland Ebert. He was a chemical operator at PPG Industries, a member of the ICW Union Local #45, a member of the First Baptist Church of Paden City, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and also camping and restoring cars. He is survived by his wife, Sandra K. Slie of New Martinsville; his father, Lorin J. Ebert of New Martinsville; sons, David B. Slie of Bellaire, OH and Charles Scott (Julie) Slie of New Martinsville; daughter, Lisa J. Slie of New Martinsville; and grandchildren, Zackary Slie and Bailey Slie of New Martinsville. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother. Services will be 11:00 am Monday at Myers Funeral Home with Reverend David Tosi officiating. Visitation will be from 4-9 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
