Charles "Charlie" Henderson

Charles "Charlie" Leon Henderson, 65, of Meadville, WV, passed away, April 8, 2014, surrounded by loving family at OSU East, Columbus, OH. He was born February 5, 1949 in Sistersville, WV, a son of the late James Henderson and Merle Lough Henderson. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. He was retired from Ormet Corporation and he was a school bus driver for Tyler County Board of Education. Charlie was a life-member of the Sistersville ELKS #333, Tyler County Shrine, VFW Post #6327, Wetzel Masonic Lodge #39 and a member of SHS Class of 1967. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Darlene Fiest Henderson; son, David (Jessica) Henderson of Middlebourne; daughter, Sharley (Brad) Shortridge of Proctorville, OH; and grandchildren, Weston Henderson and Grady and Taylor Shortridge and his faithful friend, "Kubota". Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8 pm at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday at 1:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Earl Shreve officiating.
