Charles "Charlie" Shorty" O. Rice

Charlie "Shorty" Rice, 88, of Sistersville, WV, passed away October 1, 2017 at Sistersville General Hospital. He was born March 15, 1929 in Middlebourne, WV, a son of the late Charles Okey Rice and Laura Ellen Rice. Charlie was retired from Wissmach Glass Company and he was a member of the Pursley Church of Christ. He was a loving husband, father and uncle and will be missed by family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Rice in 2014 and a son, Roger Eugene Rice. Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday at Myers Funeral Home with Evangelist Tom Butterfield officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
