Charles Norton Thorn

Charles Norton Thorn, 87, of Shiloh, WV, passed away February 21, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. He was born November 29, 1928 in Friendly, WV, a son of the late Gordon and Elsie Racer Thorn. Charles was a retired self-employed block layer and farmer. He was a United States Army veteran serving in the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Frances Asher Thorn of Shiloh, WV; daughter, Lisa (Richard) Krnyaich of Shadyside, OH; son Brent Thorn at home; three grandsons, Levi Krnyaich, Jason Krnyaich and Craig Krnyaich all of Shadyside, OH; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph in 1998, Harry in 2004 and Harold in 2015. Services will be Thursday at 1:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Williamson officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Myers Funeral Home.
