Charlotte R. Smith Blake, 69, of New Martinsville, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at her residence. She was born January 26, 1941, a daughter of the late Margaret K. Holmes Linger. She was a homemaker and was proud to be born and raised in Friendly, W.Va. She was also proud to have spent her Senior year and graduate High School with her sister Gin in Riverside, California. She is survived by sons, Kevin Blake of New Martinsville, W.Va. and Charles Blake of Heath, Texas; a daughter, JoDeen Stanley of Chesapeake, Va.; grandchildren, Ashleigh, Seth, Bryce and Sam Blake, all of Paden City, W.Va., Larry Blake of Berryville, Va., John, Joseph and Benjamin Blake of Heath, Texas, Devin and Marki Stanley of Chesapeake, Va.; a brother Charles Roy Smith, of Charleston, W.Va.; a sister, Janie Benefield, of New Martinsville, W.Va.; and special sisters-in-law, Joan Albright of New Martinsville, W.Va. and Suzy Manley of New Martinsville, W.Va. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph K. Blake; grandson Kevin Benjamin Blake; sister, Virginia Emerick; and special cousin, Carl Clegg, formerly of Friendly, W.Va. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2010 at the Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, W.Va. with the Rev. Bill Dawson officiating. Friends will be received from 12:00 Noon until time of services Friday at the funeral home.
