Curtis Richard Landis

Curtis Landis, 80, of Sistersville, WV, passed away May 17, 2019 at home. He was born September 1, 1938, in Hillsboro, WV, a son of the late Roy Landis and Margie Kidd Landis. Curtis was retired from the former Bayer Corporation and he was a former WV State Trooper. He was a member of the United States Marines and he was a member of the Sistersville First Baptist Church. He loved woodworking, fishing and working in his garden, but most of all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carolyn Rimel Landis of Sistersville, WV; sons, Chet Landis of Williamstown, WV and Craig (Stephanie) Landis of Friendly, WV; daughter, Carrie Harris of Paden City, WV; brothers, Letcher (Sadoka) Landis and Roy Lee (Susie) Landis; sisters, Alice Waugh and Charlotte (Floyd) Davis and grandchildren, Nicole, Trey, Case, Halley, Sage, Riley and Lindey. Visitation will be Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 3-7 pm at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral will be Monday, May 20, 2019 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Darrell Mayfield officiating.
