Daisy Myrtle Doty Hayes

Doty, Myrtle (Hayes), 87, of Sistersville, died February 3, 2010 at New Martinsville Health Care Center. Born April 19, 1922, she was the daughter of George and Anna Shinn Shuman. Myrtle, a long time resident of Friendly, WV, will be fondly remembered from her days as a cook at the Friendly Grade School by former students there. She was a member of the Oxford Street Church of Christ in Sistersville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curt A. Doty, a brother Paul E. Shuman and a sister Hazel Locke. Also, her second husband Adrian Hayes. She is survived by one sister, Geraldine Snider of Chester, WV, two children, a son, Timothy Doty and wife Brenda of Middlebourne and granddaughter Patricia Thomas and husband Kenny of Middlebourne, a daughter Sharon Hayes of New Martinsville and grandson Michael Hamilton and wife Marlene of Clinton, Utah, one great grandson, Tyler Hamilton of Clinton, Utah. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on February 5, 2010 and the funeral will be on February 6, 2010 at 11:00 am with Evangelist Jerry Toothman conducting the services at Myers Funeral Home in Sistersville.
