Dana Whaley

Dana Whaley, 63, of St. Mary’s, passed away August 22, 2024 at home.

He was the son of the late Carroll and Ruth Ann Price Whaley.

Dana worked the last 14 years for the Pleasants County Solid Waste Authority (Recycling Center).  In his younger years, he was a volunteer firefighter for the St. Mary’s Fire Department.

He enjoyed hunting, razor riding, NASCAR and his favorite singer was Kid Rock.

He is survived by the love of his life, Wanda Morgan, and shared 35-1/2 years together; sons, Mark (Patty) Cramer and Robert (Miranda) McLaughlin; daughter, Keri Whaley; grandchildren, Shaylyn and Samaiya Cramer and Braxton, Christina and Arabella McLaughlin; great-granddaughter, Jaylyn Stewart; very special high school friend, Stephanie Waugh; brother, Doug (Carol) Whaley; sister, Melanie Whaley; several nieces and nephews, special brothers-in-law, Kevin (Lori) Morgan Brian (Darla) Morgan and Alan (Linda) Morgan; special sisters-in-law, Cheryl (Terry) Cumberledge, Donna (Dave) Ramage and Laura (Danny) Morgan and the family cat, Sadie.

The family has honored Dana’s wishes to be cremated.  There will be a celebration of his life on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at the St. Mary's Marina at 1:00 PM.
