Debra Lynn Miller, 69, of Dale, WV, departed this life on April 26, 2021 at Acuity Specialty Hospital of Ohio Valley, Wheeling, WV. She was born July 13, 1951 at home in Dale, WV, to the late James M. Eddy and Rose Marie Eddy. Debbie gained a love of farming and horses at an early age while working with her Grandpa Eddy.She loved to work in the hay fields and drive the team of horses.She was an average teenager who enjoyed listening to the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.She graduated from Tyler County High School in 1969.After graduation she had a very busy life with many interest including being a mother, photographer, bee keeper (hence her car vanity plate "Deb Bee"), as well as enjoying squirrel and deer hunting.Later in life, she was employed by the Pantry Store (7-11) in New Martinsville for 10 years.Upon her retirement, Deb enjoyed taking her many grandkids on side-by-side buggy rides and having picnics in the country with them.She was also a member of the Dale Church of Christ. Deb's favorite saying comes from a favorite childhood story "Bucky was plucky but he kept right on!" and this is how she lived her life, she just "kept right on!" She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Harold Ray Miller; children, James Ray (Jennifer) Miller of New Martinsville, WV, Cynthia Lynn (Jamie) Robinson of Dale, WV, Thomas Eric (Nicole) Miller of McMechen, WV and Joan Allison (Todd) Bergue of St. Clairsville, OH; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Michael (Sandy) Eddy of Core, WV, James (Joanne) Eddy of Dale, WV, Timothy (Anna) Eddy of Red House, WV, Allen Eddy of Dale, WV; sister, Jane (Ralph) Thomas of Dale, WV; sisters-in-law, Helen Coen of Middleburg, FL, Judith Smith of Middleburg, FL and Jeanie Miller of Farmdale, OH and several nieces and nephews.Debbie also leaves behind her lifelong friends, Berdina Rose, Lynn McCaskey, Connie Fletcher, Vickie Mease and Annette Nice. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Ransell O. and Virginia Miller of Reader, WV, brother-in-law, Ransell O. Miller, Jr., son-in-law, Randolph Clark and nephews, Michael William Eddy, Aaron Dean Eddy and Wesley Allen Eddy. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Myers Funeral Home at 11:00 am with Mike Miller officiating.Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 4-8 pm.
