Delbert Rush

Delbert Rush, 91, of Sistersville, WV, passed away on June 16, 2023 at New Martinsville Center.

He was born June 1, 1932, in Silver Hill, WV, a son of the late Curtis Rush and Sadie Chambers Rush.

Delbert was a member of the Sistersville First United Methodist Church, Sistersville ELKS #333 and New Martinsville Moose Lodge #931.  He retired from Sistersville Tank Works and owned Delbert's Saw Sales and Auto Repair.  He enjoyed farming, traveling, playing cinch, and showing his 1930 antique tractor.  He loved and adored his grandchildren who meant the world to him.

In addition to his wife, Betty Ruth Ice Rush of Sistersville, WV; he is survived by his sons, Don (Joyce) Rush and Ron (Teresa) Rush, both of Sistersville, WV; grandchildren, Benjamin (Laura) Rush of Marietta, OH, Rebecca (Steve) Smith of Athens, AL and Isaac Rush (Sydney Williams) of Marietta, OH; great-grandchildren, Reed Rush and Liliana and Emmett Smith; sister, Sharon (Joe) Keller of Henderson, NV; several nieces and nephews and his granddog, Buddy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Nicholas Rush; sisters, Jewell Rush Poe, Lucille Rush Crane, Bula Rush Yost and brothers, Melvin Rush and Glenn Rush.

Services will be Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am at Myers Funeral Home with his son, Pastor Don Rush officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday, June 20, 2023 from 4-8 pm at Myers Funeral Home.  Interment will be at Tuttle Cemetery.
