Delorise Gulley

Delorise Gulley, 71, of Middlebourne, WV, passed away August 12, 2024 at home.

She was born September 13, 1952, in Sistersville, WV, a daughter of the late Homer Gulley and Dorothy Cooper Chute.

Delorise loved playing cards with her family, listening to her juke box, watching the Steve Wilcos Show and enjoyed collecting gnomes.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Carpenter of New Martinsville, WV and Betty (Rick) Smith of Middlebourne, WV; sisters, Agnes Lewis (John Bassett) and Juanita Hartley; grandchildren, Rebecca (Jeremiah) Wade, David Wells, Carrie Wells and Taryn Henthorn; great-grandchildren, Cayden and Brayden Hadley, Alex and River Wade and Kyle and Dashia and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Oscar Gulley; sister, Betty Billiter; niece, Delorise Morrison; sons-in-law, Shane Carpenter and Roy Hadley and lifelong companion, Jerry Lee Yost.

At Delorise’s request, there will be no viewing.

There will be a memorial service on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at 2:00 PM at 2102 Gorrell’s Run Road, Middlebourne, WV.
