Don King

Don King, 81, of Sistersville, passed away September 19, 2012 at Sistersville General Hospital. He was born September 1, 1931 in Sistersville, a son of the late Frank D. “Bud” King and Mabel V. Potts King. Don owned and operated an Accounting business in Sistersville for thirty years. He was a member of the Oxford Street Church of Christ, a 1949 graduate of SHS and a 1959 graduate of Marietta College. He was also a veteran of the Air Force during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Martha Wilkinson King; daughters, Debbie King (David) Tieche of Florida, Sandy King (Tom) Kertis of Arizona and Linda King (Jeff) Buchanan of Sistersville; grandchildren, Eric Walton, Drew, Mark and Michelle Kertis and Daniel and Hannah Phillips; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dorothy King and two nieces and one nephew. Don was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bob King. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Journey Hospice, 314 S. Wells Street, Sistersville, WV 26175 and Oxford Street Church of Christ, 219 Oxford Street, Sistersville, WV 26175. Services will be Sunday, September 23, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Evangelist Jerry Toothman officiating.
