Donald R. Ash, 87, of Sistersville, WV, passed away on July 28, 2016 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born November 12, 1928, in Sistersville, WV, a son of the late Loman C. Ash and Laura Kile Ash Elder. Don was a retired Engineer at Bayer Corporation. He was a member of the Bens Run Church of Christ where he served as an Elder. He loved camping, woodworking and painting. He was a member of the SHS class of 1946 and he sang in the Riverside Harmony Barbershop Chorus. He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force. He is survived by his son, Scott Ash, of Sistersville, WV; daughter, Kathy (David) Heater of Belpre, OH and son, Brent (Jill) Ash of Sistersville, WV; granddaughters, Amanda Bonnell and Katie Ash; and nieces, Judy Ash-Young and Susan DeLeGal. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Roma Dell Folger Ash in 2011 and brother, Stanley W. Ash in 2003. Services will be Tuesday at 11:00 am at Myers Funeral Home with Dwight Williams and Bill Longwell officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 at the funeral home.
