Donna June Dally

Donna June Dally, 77, of Sistersville, WV, died, May 28, 2011 at Camden-Clark Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born September 09, 1933 in Pursley, Tyler County, WV, one of 8 siblings born to the late Arthur Archer and Sylvia Folger Archer. Dedicated to family, “June” worked for Corning Glass for 17 years, while providing love and care for her husband, Harold, and their three children. The couple was known playfully among friends as “June & Junie”. The warmth of her love and care was also extended generously to her grandchildren, friends, neighbors, and community. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Paden City. A member of the choir and women’s club, she illustrated a lifelong commitment to her church and faith. An active woman, June enjoyed cooking, arts & crafts, tending her rose gardens, spending time with family and friends, and shopping. In her golden years, June most enjoyed spending time with her husband both in travel and at home. She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Harold Dally Jr.; their three children, sons, Larry Dally of Savannah, GA and David Dally of Dublin, GA and a daughter, Helen Kathy Saul of Charleston, WV; grandchildren, Chad Dally, Nicholas Pfohl, Benjamin Pfohl, Joshua Saul, David Dally and Stephanie Dally; two brothers, Glen Archer and Elliot Archer; and two sisters, Margaret Kirkwood and Jean Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Stan Archer and Loren Archer;and sisters, Juanita Goodfellow and Betty Fetty. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 31st at 11 AM at the Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, WV with Pastor Jonathan Mast officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Sistersville. Visitation will be on Monday from 5 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
