Earl E. Smith

Earl E. Smith, 71, of Allen Run Road, Sistersville, WV, died August 25, 2010 at Sistersville General Hospital. He was born August 25, 1939, in Tyler County, WV, a son of the late Oren Smith and Helen Hunt Smith. He was a retired electrician of 35 years from PPG Industries in New Martinsville, he was an avid farmer, he served on the Tyler County Fair Board for several years and he was also a member of Archers Chapel United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Donna Haught Smith; daughter, Lisa Beaver of Sistersville; son, Burl Smith of Sistersville; grandchildren, Joe (Mellisa) Smith of Sistersville, Matthew (Courtney) Smith of Beavertown, OH, Bethany Smith of Pine Grove and Nick Beaver of Sistersville; sister, Madge Kirkpatrick of Canton, OH; brothers, Blaine Smith of Sistersville and Wayne Smith of Uniontown, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Iris Barhouse Smith, brothers, Burl (his twin), Paul, Virgil, triplet brothers who died at birth, Thomas, Guy and Harry Smith; and sister, Virginia Smith VanCamp. Services will be Saturday at 1:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Evangelist Tom Butterfield and Pastor Bill Williamson officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
