Eddie Steele

Francis E. “Eddie” Steele, 81, of Sistersville, WV passed away September 3 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born October 30, 1929 in Reader, WV a son of the late Francis L. and Inez Amos Steele. Eddie was a 1950 graduate of Magnolia High School, a US Navy veteran of the Korean War, a member of the New Martinsville Church of Christ, Sistersville Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Elks BPOE #333. Eddie was retired from Ormet Corporation. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ellen A. Kehrer Steele, one son, Michael Edward Steele of Sistersville, WV, grandchildren, Richard Anthony (Heidi) Steele of New Martinsville, Tamela Jo (Nate) Frum of Sistersville, Jennifer Sue Steele of Sistersville, two great-grandchildren Emma Kay Steele and Evan Vance Frum. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Pamela K. Steele and one sister, Mona Forgie. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family requests cards be sent to the family.
