Edith Taylor

Edith Taylor, 78, of Sistersville, WV, passed away on April 9, 2022 at home. She was born May 8, 1943, in St. Mary's, WV, a daughter of the late John & Mada Barrett. Edith was a member of the Sistersville Church of the Nazarene.She was self-proclaimed Sistersville famous and would dress up for every holiday for a photo-op at The Tyler Star News office.Everyone knew who she was, as she was the town's biggest cheerleader.She attended every event in town, whether it was a parade or funeral, she always made her debut.The town of Sistersville will truly miss Edith Taylor. She is survived by her ex-husband, Raymond Taylor; sons, Jeffrey Lynch of St. Mary's, WV and Matt Lynch of St. Marys, WV; daughters, Tammy (John) Riggs of Myrtle Beach, SC and Linda Lynch of Harrisville, WV; grandchildren, Jonathan Riggs, Casey Grimm and Tiffany Markins and great-grandchildren, Savannah and Jacob Markins. There will be a memorial service on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 11-1 pm at the Sistersville Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Bob Henderson officiating.
