Edward William “Bud” Kehrer, 89, of Sistersville, WV, passed away March 15, 2011 at Sistersville General Hospital. Bud was born April 1, 1921, a son of the late William and Helen Good Kehrer. Bud was a 1939 graduate of Sistersville High School, a member of Elks Lodge BPOE #333 and VFW Post #6327, a 70 year member of IBEW Local Union 968, WWII Navy veteran serving 3 ½ years in Panama and he enjoyed fishing especially during family trips to the beach. Bud is survived by his daughters, Katherine Monroe of Houston, TX and Jeanne (Mike) Barnes of New Martinsville, WV; grandchildren, Leslie de la Mora of Houston, TX, Jamison (Emily) Monroe of Los Angeles, CA, Kirk (Daniela) Monroe of Houston, TX and Dr. Carrie (Jeff “Mooch”) Barnes-Mullett of Granville, OH; three great grandchildren, Alexa and Anissa de la Mora and Ben Mullett; brother, Albert (Dorothy) Kehrer of Clarksburg, WV; and sisters, Virginia Flesher, Amelia (Ed) Steele, Elsie (David) Cline and sister-in-law, Carol Kehrer, all of Sistersville, WV. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Louise Howard Kehrer, sisters, Julia Pierce, Anna Manley, Mary Gulley, infants, Helen and Elli and brothers, Charles Kehrer, William Kehrer and Robert Kehrer and special nephews, Bill and Charles Gregory. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Journey Hospice, 314 S. Wells Street, Sistersville, WV 26175. Graveside services will be Friday at 11:00 am at Greenwood Cemetery with full military rites. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 at Myers Funeral Home.
