Edwin R. Heintzman, 87, of Sistersville, WV passed away January 20, 2013 at his residence. He was born September 14, 1925 in Tyler County, WV a son of the late Arlie Ross and Fonda Folger Heintzman. He was a graduate of the former Tyler County High School, a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, and a member of the Oxford Street Church of Christ. He was the former owner of the Sistersville Dairy Queen from 1966 to 1973 and he was retired after 44 years of service from the US Postal Service, he last served as Postmaster at Oak Hill, WV. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Connie Tallman Heintzman, one son, Mark (Jackie) Heintzman of Sistersville, WV, one daughter, Sara Beth (Jerry) Boyer of Grove City, OH, daughter-in-law, Pam Heintzman of Joelton, TN, grandchildren, Lesa (Chad) Brown of Goodlettsville, TN, Bryce Heintzman and Grant Heintzman, both of Joelton, TN, James Boyer of Grove City, OH, sister, Jean (Paul) Tustin of East Petersburg, PA, sister-in-law, Patricia Heintzman of Middlebourne, WV and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, David Heintzman in 2008 and one brother, Ross Heintzman. Services will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, WV at 11 AM with Evangelists Jerry Toothman and Charles Aebi officiating. Burial will follow at Tuttle Cemetery.
