Estral V. Tennant, 91, of Sistersville, W.Va., died Jan. 1, 2009, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. She was born Sept. 13, 1917, in Antioch, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clarence and Maudene Price Stine. She worked at GC Murphy Co., Starcher Furniture and was a cook at Sistersville General Hospital. She was a member of the Oxford Street Church of Christ, Civil Air Patrol, Stepping Stones and the Tyler County Historical Society. She is survived by her sons, Ronald Dean Tennant of Greensboro, N.C., and Dewain Scott Tennant of Benton, Ark.; daughters, Glenna Jean Fletcher of Spartansburg, S.C., and Ava Nadine Mason of Greensburg, Pa.; sister, Wilda Smith of Weirton, W.Va.; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn H. Tennant in 2002; brothers, Ralph and Wayne Stine; and sisters, Fern Wilson and Irene Ott. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009 at Stender Cemetery in Paden City, W.Va., officiated by Evangelist Jerry Toothman. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, W.Va.
