Etha Marie Buck

Paul S. Buck, age 94 and Etha Marie Neff Buck, age 91 of Sistersville, WV both passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017. Paul was born August 12, 1922 in Sistersville, WV (Buck Run area) a son of the late John and Mary Wright Buck. Etha was born February 28, 1925, also in Sistersville, WV (Buck Run area), a daughter of the late John and Lucy Jacobs Neff. Paul and Etha were married in Sistersville on May 22, 1943 and passed away four hours apart. They had one son: John (Susan) Buck of Sistersville; one daughter: Renee (Phil) Wells of Middlebourne, WV; five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Paul also has one brother surviving, Howard (Shelva) Buck of Sistersville. Etha is also survived by two sisters: Mary Stewart and Shirley (Harold) Ice all of Sistersville. In addition to Paul’s parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers: Eugene, Virgil, Gail, Orgil, Creal and Lyle Buck; three sisters: Evelyn Buck, Gertrude Buck and Betty Neff. In addition to Etha’s parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Warren Neff and one sister, Phyllis Grimes. Paul retired from PPG as a Warehouse Manager; was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran; loved hunting, woodworking, which was a talent that he shared with many. Etha was a homemaker; loved caring for her indoor flowers and watching birds. She and Paul were both members of the Elk Fork Church of Christ. A joint funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Myers Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Sistersville with Evangelist David Deagel officiating. Interment will follow in the Paden Memorial Gardens, Paden City, WV. Visitation for Paul and Etha will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
