Gena Frances Walker Collins, 85, of Friendly, W.Va., died on Saturday, August 16, 2008, at her residence. She was born June 4, 1923, in Walton, W.Va., to the late Fry and Emilie M. Clute Walker. She was a homemaker, a loving wife and mother, and a Baptist by faith. She helped run the Collins Dairy Farm for many years. She loved her God, her family and many friends. She is survived by sons, George Collins, Ralph Collins and Terry (Marleen) Collins, all of Friendly, W.Va.; daughters, Flossie (Earl) Cline of Friendly, W.Va., Patricia (Roger) Greathouse of Middlebourne, W.Va. and Emily (Rodney) Dalrymple of Friendly, W.Va.; sister, Nellie (Earl) Robinson of Walton, W.Va.; 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years; sons, Melvin Lee and Daniel William Collins; daughter-in-law, Carol Sue Smith Collins; brothers, Daniel Webster Walker and William Walker; and sisters, Edna Harper and Alma Cottrill. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the Myers Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Sistersville, W.Va. with the Rev. Everett Shreves and the Rev. Bill Williamson officiating. Burial will be in the Collins Family Cemetery, Little, W.Va. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
