Frances Marie Asher Thorn

Thorn, Frances Marie Asher, ag 82, of Shadyside, OH (formerly of Shiloh, WV) died Monday, August 28, 2017 at Liza’s Place, Wheeling, WV. She was born October 4, 1934 in Fink, Lewis County, WV a daughter of the late Dewey and Olive Seaborne Asher. Frances owned and operated the former Asher Store. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Norton Thorn on February 21, 2016 and one sister; Grethel “Grace” Capen. Survivors include one daughter, Lisa (Richard) Krnyaich; one son, Brent Thorn all of Shadyside, OH; three grandchildren: Levi, Jason and Craig Krnyaich; one sister: Carmen (John) Bacho of Salem, OR; two nieces: Alice Capen and Mary Pierce; three nephews: Matthew, John and Craig Bacho. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at the Myers Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Sistersville, WV where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday with Pastor Darrell Mayfield officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendly Cemetery, Friendly, WV.
