Frank Bonar

Frank Bonar, 84, of New Martinsville, WV, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2024 at Wetzel County Hospital, surrounded by his children.

He was born on December 19, 1939, a son of the late Donald Bonar and Carmen Wolfe Bonar.

Frank retired from the former Union Carbide and he was a member of the United States Navy.  He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church of New Martinsville, WV and was very active in the church.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and he was an excellent carpenter.  He was always will to help anyone in need and he was a great friend.

He is survived by his sons, Kenny (Erica) Bonar of Sistersville, WV and Lee Bonar of New Martinsville, WV; daughters, Rhonda (Mark) Hayes of Wheeling, WV, Tammy (Paul) Mercer of Wheeling, WV and Rachel (Mark) Hamilton of Hickory, NC; sisters, Joan (Bill) Crawford, Emily Jones, Janet Coffield and Carol (Elliott) Archer; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 5-7 pm and on Sunday from 1-2 pm.
