Gary Lee Yost

Gary Lee Yost, Sr., 72, of Sistersville, WV, passed away April 17, 2021 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born October 8, 1948, in Hebron, WV, a son of the late Fred Yost and Ruth Bowers Yost Ferrell. Gary worked as a Carpenter.He loved to tinker and would do anything for his family.He would give the shirt of his back and the last penny he had to anyone in need. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Lola and Hazel; brothers, Delmas and Otis and great-grandchildren, Madison Grace Varndell and Luke Shaffer. He is survived by his sons, Gary Lee (Jane) Yost, Jr. of Masontown, WV and Christopher (Sue) Yost of Eglon, WV; daughters, Corinna Denise (Ryan) Frey and Christina (Russell) Snyder, both of Masontown, WV; his companion of 23 years, Hattie Williams with whom he was the caregiver to Adian Forrester; brothers, Virgil Yost, Fred (Bonnie) Yost, Roger (Madelyn) Yost, Ronnie Yost and Richard Yost; sister, Patty (Larry) Swiger; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 11-2 pm with services beginning at 2:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home.Inurnment will follow at a later date at Willow Island Cemetery.
