Grace Louise Carr

August 14, 1925 — July 26, 2016

Grace Louise Carr, 90, of Friendly, WV, passed away July 26, 2016 at Brookdale Assisted Living surrounded by her family. She was born August 14, 1925, in Shiloh, WV, a daughter of the late Clyde Wells and Golda Sewell Parker Wells. Louise was the owner/operator of Carr's Class and Gift in Friendly, WV; she was one of the founders of the Sistersville Church of the Nazarene and she attended Hope Fellowship Church. She loved to quilt, crochet, garden and travel. She was always active in her church missions and Sunday school. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Eugene "Gene" Carr in 2003; brothers, Charles, Bert, Phillip and Blake Wells and sisters, Mary Smith and Helen Wells. She is survived by her son, Jim (Anita) Carr of Friendly; daughters, Sara Lee (Roger) Hall of St. Marys, Mary Jane (James) Stewart of Parkersburg, WV, Rebecca Louise (Cliff) Boone of Allentown, PA, Bobbin Eileen (Steve Hill) Pardine of Canton, OH and Anna Arlene (Mike) Cooper of Middlebourne; grandchildren, Michael Cooper, Bridget Watson, Lisa Conger, Samuel Boone, Lydia Boone, Sarah LePage, Amanda Kendle, Daron Pardine, Heidi Stewart Liezidi; 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson; sisters, Betty Jane Wells Barron and Martha Ann Wells Hanood and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 pm at Myers Funeral Home. Funeral will be Saturday at 11:00 am with Pastor Bill Williamson officiating. Interment will be at Beech Run Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Beech Run Cemetery, c/o Chuck Gorrell, 279 Beech Run Road, Friendly, WV 26146. Online condolences may be offered at myersfuneralhomewv.com.
