Guy Gene Wetzel

Guy Gene Wetzel, 78, of Paden City, WV, passed away February 26, 2014 at Sistersville Center. He was born June 3, 1935 in Paden City, WV a son of the late Ervin Wetzel and Beryl Mayfield Wetzel. Guy was a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from Ormet Corporation after 38 years and he was a member of the Paden City First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia Wetzel of Paden City, WV; son, Guy G. (Mary) Wetzel, II of Alliance, OH; daughters, Heidi (Mike) Peck of Massillon, OH and Kari (Mike) Weekley of Sistersville; brother, Robert (Andre) Wetzel of Paden City; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandkids. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Wetzel and grandson, Gerald Peck. Guy was loved by all who knew him. Visitation will be Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday, February 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Paden City with Pastor Jonathan Mast officiating. Interment will be at Paden Memorial Gardens.
