Gwendolyn L Starcher

STARCHER, Gwendolyn L. "Sally", 84, of Sistersville, WV, died Saturday morning, December 21, 2013, at Wetzel County Hospital, New Martinsville, WV. She was born October 21, 1929, in Sistersville, the daughter of the late Donald E. Poole and Opal May Christian Poole. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Starcher; son, Victor Starcher II; and sister, Marcella Ann Nichols. Sally was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all. She was a member of Sistersville First Baptist Church. Sally is survived by her sons, David (Sharon) Starcher of Sistersville, WV, and Denver (Debbie) Starcher of Knoxville, TN; daughter-in-law, Teresa âTerriã Starcher of Sistersville; seven grandchildren, Victoria (Craig) Card, Amy (Brandon) Thompson, Medena Starcher, Scott Starcher, Sarah (Casey) Lamm, Stefanie (Jason) Suter, and Suzanne (Justin) Nichols; twelve great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill Poole of Elyria, Ohio, and John Poole of Independence, KY; two sisters, Donna Jean Lesher of Elyria, Ohio, and Marjorie June Gibson of Barboursville, WV. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 24, at Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, WV, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Bill Williamson officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Sistersville, WV. Calling hours will be Monday, December 23, from 6-9 p.m.
