Harold Furbee

Harold Furbee, 78, of Friendly, WV, passed away March 13, 2020 at Care Haven of Pleasants. He was born June 18, 1941, in Glen Dale, WV, a son of the late Woodrow Furbee and Marjorie Eileen Rulong Furbee. Harold was a graduate of Bishop Donahue and West Liberty University. He enjoyed running road races and gardening. He worked at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and retired from the former Union Carbide as a Chemical Engineer. He is survived by sons, Kevin (Lori) Furbee of Satellite Beach, FL and Tony (Deanna) Furbee of Sunbury, OH; daughters, Lori Strickland and Tia Furbee, both of Friendly, WV; brother, Dale Furbee of Friendly, WV; mother-in-law, Alta Donahue; sisters-in-law, Donna (Bernie) Johnson of Friendly, WV and Jeannie (Jack) Floyd of The Villages, FL and brother-in-law, Richard (Darlene Henderson) Danser of Meadville, WV; fourteen grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sandy Danser Furbee. The family has honored his request for cremation without a service.
