Harold Norman Thorn,

Harold Norman Thorn, Sr., 89, of Paden City, WV, passed away on January 13, 2015 at Sistersville Center. He was born August 16, 1925, a son of the late Gordon Thorn and Elsie Racer Thorn Clark. Harold was a retired painter with PPG Industries. He was a United States Navy World War II veteran. He was a Boy Scout leader, a member of the Paden City Parents Club and he was a 25 year member of the Paden City Ambulance Squad. He is survived by his sons, Harold Norman (Debby) Thorn, Jr. and William (Teresa) Thorn both of New Martinsville; daughter, Jana Lynn Thorn of Paden City; brother, Charles Thorn; grandchildren, Jason (Julie) Thorn, Rachel (Michael) Ware, Christopher (Melissa) Thorn, Ryan "Buck" Thorn, Heidi Thorn and Deanna Thorn; and great-grandchildren, Kayla, Zachary and Issac Ware, Aaron and Samuel Thorn and Kailyn and Dylan Watterson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Emily Smythe Thorn in 2003 and brothers, Harry and Joe Thorn. Services will be Friday at 1:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Evangelist Jerry Toothman officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 at the funeral home.
