Henry D. Bell, 86, of Sistersville, WV, passed away February 12, 2011 at the Sistersville Center. He was born January 23, 1925 a son of Velma C. Doss Bell of Sistersville and the late John H. Bell. He was a graduate of Mannington High School and he attended Fairmont State University. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Sistersville United Methodist Church, he had served on the Sistersville City Council and the Sistersville General Hospital Board of Directors. He established Bell Chevrolet Dealership in Sistersville in 1971 and he was past-director of the W.V. Auto Dealers Association. He was a member of American Legion Post 67, V.F.W. Post 6327, and was P.E.R. of Sistersville Elks #333. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Martha A. Yost Bell, three sons, John (Lisa) Bell of Sistersville, Richard Bell of New Martinsville, Jack (Gina) Bell of Fort Mill, SC, two daughters, Dianna (John) Assenza, Lesa Lovely both of Lawrenceville, GA, 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and three brothers, Harlan, Roger, and Tex Bell. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Glover and one brother, Jack Bell. Services will be held Tuesday, February 15 at 11 A. M. at Myers Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Dawson officiating. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P. M. Monday at the funeral home.
