James Michael "Mike" Grimm, Sr.

James Michael “Mike” Grimm, Sr., 70, of Sistersville, WV, passed away on December 8, 2024 at Marietta Memorial Hospital while surrounded by his family.

He was born on August 7, 1954 in Sistersville, WV, a son of the late Robert “Bob” Grimm and Eva Cochran Grimm.

Mike retired from Ormet Corporation where he worked for over 30 years.  He loved hunting, fishing and sports of all kinds.  Most outings with Mike usually turned into an adventure with life long memories.  He always had a joke for any situation.  His greatest joy was his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gale Brewer Grimm; one son, Mikie (April) Grimm of Sistersville, WV; one daughter, Michelle (Joe) Shepherd of Paden City, WV; special friend, Greg (Amber) Dabbs of Sistersville, WV, who he thought of like a son; four grandchildren, Cora (Chris) Cook of Middlebourne, WV, Hunter Grimm of Sistersville, WV and Eva and Charlie Shepherd of Paden City, WV; one sister, Kim (Gary) Everhart of Ohio; and one brother, Robert “Bob” (Kathy) Grimm of Texas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marsha Grimm.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Myers Funeral Home from 1-3 pm and 5-7 pm.  There will be a funeral service at 7:00 pm with Reverend Bob Henderson.
