James "Jim" Shreves

James "Jim" Shreves, 78, of Sistersville, WV, passed away February 18, 2022 at home, surrounded by his family. He was born April 27, 1943, in Sistersville, WV, a son of the late Arthur Shreves and Maxine Hissam Shreves. Jim retired from the former Union Carbide as a Lab Tech and he was a member of the Sistersville First Baptist Church.Jim enjoyed farming and was especially proud of his three grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Johnson Shreves; son, Patrick (Leona) Shreves of Sistersville, WV; daughter, Kathy (Neil) Michael of Sistersville, WV; sisters, Betty Linda (Bill) Mylar of Thornville, OH, Shelba Shultz of Middlebourne, WV, Shirley Wilson of Sistersville, WV and Janice Butcher of Johnstown, OH; grandchildren, Isaac (Kalea) Michael, Levi Shreves and Madison Shreves, all of Sistersville, WV; great-grandchildren (twins) on the way, Kash and Gracelynn Michael and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm, Monday, February 21, 2022 at Myers Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Mayfield officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Ridge Cemetery.
