James E. Williamson, Jr., 75, of Sistersville, passed away November 5, 2011 at Sistersville General Hospital. He was born July 21, 1936, a son of the late James E. Williamson and Helen V. Kemp Williamson. Jim was a retired welder/fitter at Union Carbide and retired in 1988. He was an Army veteran and was a member of the Sistersville United Methodist Church and on the Board of Trustees. He was a member of the American Legion Post #67 of Sistersville, a member of the Oddfellows and a member of the National Rifle Association. He was also an avid outdoorsman and woodworker. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Chute Williamson of Sistersville; daughters, Judy (Kenny) Baxter of New Martinsville and Karen (Steve) Ross of New Martinsville; grandchildren, Vanessa, Ryan, Nicholas and Stephanie Baxter; brother, Pastor Bill (Ramona) Williamson of Friendly and several nieces and nephews. Services will be Monday at 11:00 am at Myers Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Dawson officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 11:30-2 and 4-6 at Myers Funeral Home.
