Janet "Sue" Darnell

Janet “Sue” Darnell, 69, of Wick, Tyler Co., WV, passed away on July 31, 2013 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV. She was born July 2, 1944, in Sistersville, WV, a daughter of the late George and Hattie Dalrymple Wilkinson. She was a 1962 graduate of Sistersville High School. She loved spending time with her friends, neighbors and family. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Leroy Darnell; three daughters, Kimberly (Brian) Darnell Pilkerton, Woodlawn, VA, LouAnn (Ronald) Higgins, St. Marys, WV, Patricia (Eddie) Richardson, Wick, WV, one son Anthony (Brittany) Darnell, Paden City, WV, three grandchildren, Samantha Richardson of Lewisburg, WV, Nikki Richardson, Wick, WV and Jeffery Pilkerton, Woodlawn, VA., one brother, Ronald (Shirley) Wilkinson, two sisters Maxine (Pearley) Ankrom, and Beverly (Martin) Parrish all of Sistersville, WV. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis “Tinker” Wilkinson. Services will be held Friday, August 2 at 1:00 PM at Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, WV with Rev. Don Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at McKim Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
