Janet Phillips

Janet Phillips, 92, went home to be with Jesus on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023.  Born Marilyn Janet Stetson in Sistersville, WV, on January 31, 1931, a daughter of the late Harry Stetson, Jr. and his wife, Jennie Bolger Stetson and Margaret Burl Doty Stetson.

She was a 1949 graduate of Homestead High School in Homestead, PA and a retiree from Conalco in Hannibal, OH.

Known as "Jan" to her friends, a wonderful Grandma and "GG" to her loved ones and a loving mother to Cathy (Ed) Mihalek and Jana (Kyle) Christman.  She is also survived by her brother, Ronnie Stetson; beloved grandchildren, Jesse (Christina) Nippert, Katie Bayuk, Dan Bayuk, Carly (Jason) Thompson; great-grandchildren, Lily Mae Griffith, Dougie Nippert, Justin Thompson, Emery Rose Bayuk; a very loved furry friend, Topper; several loved nieces and nephews, plus friends who will miss her dearly.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers, Gary Stetson, Pete, Dale and Shane Light; two sisters, Yvonne Stetson and Sharon Wagner; brother-in-law, Harold Wagner; sister-in-law, Floss Stetson; three nephews, Gary Stetson, Billy Stetson and David Stetson; and great-nephew, Andrew Paul Yatsko.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 12:00 pm until time of service at 1:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Mayfield officiating. Interment will be in Friendly Cemetery.
