Joseph Grant Dawson

Joseph Grant Dawson, 78, of Ten Mile, New Martinsville, WV, passed away August 28, 2016 at Sistersville General Hospital. He was born December 29, 1937, New Martinsville, WV, a son of the late Truman Dawson, Sr. and Ollie Snider Dawson. Joe is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Tanley Dawson; daughters, Mary Myer and Donna (Ben) Faulk; brothers, John Dawson and Truman "Jr" Dawson; sisters, Roberta Beaver, Bonnie Boor and Barbara Gump; son-in-law, Steve Anderson; grandchildren, Heather Weekley, Brian Anderson, Brian Faulk, Dreama Smith, Steven Loy, Misty Stroller and Ronnie Seagrave and seventeen great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Anderson and sister, Betty Travis. Services will be Thursday at 11:00 am at Myers Funeral Home with Pastor J.R. Richards officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Mercer Cemetery, Wolf Pen, New Martinsville, WV.
