Joseph "Joe" Swartzmiller

Joseph "Joe" Swartzmiller, 73, of Sistersville, WV, passed away on April 26, 2019 at Sistersville General Hospital. He was born July 24, 1945, in Sistersville, WV, a son of the late Paul Swartzmiller and Pauline Markley Swartzmiller. Joe worked as a General Laborer for Massey Ferguson and he played lead guitar with the Rocken Good Times band. He is survived by his children, Joseph of California, Scott of Utah, Eric of Ohio, Brian of Florida and Craig of West Virginia; brothers, Robert (Shirley) Swartzmiller of New Cumberland, WV and Herbie (Beverly) Swartzmiller of Sistersville, WV; sisters, Maxine (Herbert) Grimm of Crossville, TN, Jean (Robert) Gumm of Weirton, WV, Betty (Abe) Cowgill of Friendly, WV and Ruth Belvin of Akron, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly; brothers, Norman, John, Raymond and Carl Swartzmiller; sister, Katheryn Mahoney and nephew, Bobby Lee Swartzmiller. Visitation will be Monday, April 29, 2019 from 11-1 pm until time of service at 1:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Bishop Adrian "Abe" Cowgill officiating. Interment will be at Friendly Cemetery.
