Juanita Steward

Steward, Juanita, 93, of Sistersville, WV died Thursday, June 6, 2019 at OVMC, Wheeling, WV. She was born on September 20, 1925 in Tyler County, WV, a daughter of the late Thaddeus and Mary Elizabeth Bruce Cooper. Juanita was a homemaker; a member of the Paden Fork Chapel Christian Church, Paden City, WV and also attended Paden City Church of the Nazarene. She was an avid reader of her bible and enjoyed visiting with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Steward in 1993; daughter, Barbara Massey; son, James “Pete” Steward; six brothers: Arza, Paul, Wilbur, Charles, Strauss and William Cooper; three sisters: Geraldine Goddard, Bertha and Charlotte Cooper; one grandson. William Scott Jacobs; one great grandson, Mitchell A. Higgins. Surviving are two sons: Donald (Kay) Steward of Sistersville and Bradley (Shirley) Steward of Pueblo, CO; 16 grandchildren; several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 2-4 pm Sunday where funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday at Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville with Randy Myers officiating.
