Keith Freeland

Keith Freeland, 91, of Tyler Highway, Sistersville, WV, passed away, October 24, 2014 at home. He was born July 22, 1923, on Klondike Ridge, Middlebourne, WV, a son of the late Persia Freeland and Ola Fetty Freeland. Keith was a World War II United States Army veteran. He was retired from Tyler County Board of Education as a school bus driver and he was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows IOOF Lodge. He is survived by his daughter, Janice (Donald) Lancaster of Sistersville; granddaughter, Stacy (Garrett) Lewis of Flemington, WV; great-grandson, Brock Lewis and his loyal dog, "Queenie". In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Hoskins Freeland; brother, Braxton Freeland and sister, Zelma Woodburn. Visitation will be Monday, October 27, 2014 from 11:00 – 1:00 pm with funeral services starting at 1:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Reverend Don Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery with full military rites. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Journey Hospice, 314 S. Wells Street, Sistersville, WV 26175.
