Kenneth David Freeman, 74, of Friendly, WV, passed away on January 17, 2015 at home. He was born March 10, 1940, a son of the late Reverend Kenneth H. Freeman and Bertie Smith Freeman. Dave was retired from Bayer Corporation after forty-two years of service. He was a member of the Wetzel Masonic Lodge #39 and he was a past Secretary for the Phoenix Lodge #73 for many years. He was a member of the 7th Day Church of God and a member of the American Society for Quality Control. He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Darlene Blatt Freeman; son, Kenneth David (Renee) Freeman, II of Parkersburg, WV; daughter, Melinda Jill (Gregory Scott) Childers of Blythedale, PA; grandchildren, Rachael Lauren Freeman, Kenneth David Freeman, III, Audrey Pearl Childers and Nicholas Alexander Childers; sister, Esther "Sally" (Vincent) Shioleno of Ripley, NY; Uncle, Paul Smith and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Kennedy and nephews, Charlie and Paul Kennedy. Services will be Wednesday at 1:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Minister Jeff White officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 at the funeral home.
